Setelah sukses meluncurkan browser google chrome, saat ini google sedang “menggodok” project terbaru mereka, Google Chrome OS. Yup, operating system versi google. Mereka mengklaim kalau OS ini merupakan OS yang ringan, simple dan aman. Menurut website resminya, Google Chrome OS dibuat untuk orang-orang yang menghabiskan waktu lebih banyak di dunia web.
Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems.
Apakah Google chrome OS mampu bersaing dengan windows 7 nya microsoft atau MacOS nya apple? Hmm.. we’ll see. Untuk info detailnya bisa dibaca disini.
